Abstract
Fotokemijsko onečišćenje zraka tj. „fotokemijski smog” nastaje neposredno uz industrijski i gospodarski razvijena područja, područja s velikom gustoćom stanovništva, prometa te na područjima specifičnih prirodnih i klimatskih karakteristika uslijed brojnih kemijskih i fotokemijskih reakcija u urbanoj atmosferi. Glavne komponente fotokemijskog smoga su dušikovi oksidi, hlapljivi ugljikovodici, ozon i peroksiacetilnitrat čije povišene koncentracije mogu negativno utjecati na zdravlje ljudi, poljoprivredu i prirodnu vegetaciju. Meteorološki uvjeti imaju ključnu ulogu u onečišćenju zraka, izravno ili neizravno utječući na emisiju, transport te formiranje i taloženje zagađivača. Prosječne vrijednosti koncentracije ozona tijekom promatrane dvije godine u gradu Osijeku kreću se oko 50 μg/m3 i pokazuju tipičan dnevni hod za gradove. Također, u dnevnom hodu koncentracije ozona izraženiji je jutarnji minimum i podnevni maksimum. Na temelju podataka o pojedinim meteorološkim parametrima utvrđena je značajna negativna korelacija između relativne vlažnosti zraka i ozona te značajna pozitivna korelacija između izmjerene koncentracije ozona i temperature zraka što je i očekivano s obzirom na fotokemijske reakcije u troposferi.
Abstract (english)
Photochemical air pollution i.e. „photochemical smog” occurs directly next to the industrially and economically cultivated areas, areas with high population and traffic density, and in areas with specific natural and climatic characteristics due to numerous chemical and photochemical reactions in the urban atmosphere. The main components of photochemical smog are nitrogen oxides, volatile hydrocarbons, ozone and peroxyacetyl nitrate (PAN) whose elevated concentrations can adversely affect human health, agriculture and natural vegetation. Meteorological conditions play a key role in air pollution, directly or indirectly influencing on emission, transport, deposition and formation of pollutants. The average values of ozone concentration during the observed two years in the city of Osijek are around 50 μg/ m3. Also, in the daily course of concentration of ozone, the morning minimum and afternoon maximum are more pronounced. Based on the data on specific meteorological it is determined that there is a significant negative correlation between relative humidity and ozone and also significant positive correlation between air temperature and ozone concentration, which is expected regarding the photochemical reactions in the troposphere.
